Representative Geraldo Alicea today lauded the bi-partisan House Committee’s unanimous ruling calling for a new election in the 6th Worcester district.
“I was pleased to hear today that a unanimous decision was made by the bi-partisan House Committee,” said Representative Geraldo Alicea. “With this decision for a new election, it is time to move forward. As I continue to address constituent needs, I will also be walking door to door to talk with voters about the issues facing our communities and the progress we have made in recent years.”
“Over the last four years, I have focused on making a real difference in people’s lives. I am proud of our accomplishments but understand that much work remains ahead of us. Now is not the time for pointing fingers or stalling on issues. We need to band together to share ideas and work to solve our collective challenges,” said Alicea.
“I have worked closely with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle and I firmly believe that collaboration is key to our success,” added Alicea. “While my opponent continually disparages the House of Representatives, I believe that attitude is detrimental to this district. Our communities need an experienced leader who will work with other officials to deliver state services.”
“I am the candidate who has a proven track record of working in collaboration with our elected officials for the betterment of our communities. As I travel throughout this district to talk with voters about my experience and record, I will also continue to work with House and Senate colleagues and the Governor’s office to deliver state aid to our cities and towns,” said Alicea.
